Minimally-Invasive Laser Gum Disease Treatment For Natural Teeth and Dental Implants

What is the LANAP protocol?

Designed to treat and often reverse gum disease, the patented LANAP protocol is a painless, patient-friendly, minimally invasive procedure that gently removes harmful bacteria and diseased tissue from the gums. The result: A deep clean that keeps healthy tissue intact. It is the only laser treatments to receive FDA clearance for True Bone Regeneration based on human histological research.

What does it do?

  • Stops or slows progression of disease
  • Reaches deeper beyond the surface
  • Destroys bacteria causing inflammation without harming healthy tissue
  • Helps prevent bacteria from spreading back into the pocket
  • Encourages new bone growth

Why is it better than traditional treatment?

  • Most patients need two appointments for treatment
  • Less pain and more comfortable healing
  • Minimizes gum recession for a confident smile
  • 100% natural with no foreign materials or growth factors
  • Low risk for patients on blood thinners or with diabetes
  • Safe for use around crowns, bridges and sealants

What if I have dental implants?

The LAPIP protocol is specifically designed to prolong the life of dental implants
just as the LANAP protocol treats gum disease affecting natural teeth.

For those with one or more dental implants, there is a risk of peri-implantitis – an infection that causes the loss of bone around a dental implant. If left untreated, it will continue to progress and destroy the bone. Ultimately, when bone no longer supports an implant, it will become loose and will need to be removed. There is also a risk of the infection spreading to natural teeth surrounding the implant.

After you have already been through the long and costly experience of replacing a tooth, or teeth, with implants, we want to ensure you maintain your implants as long as possible. This disease is not curable, but it is treatable. Our goal is to elongate the lifespan of your implant, or implants,  with this specialized LAPIP protocol.
